1908 Centennial Barossa Shiraz
First planted in 1908 our Centenarian Vineyard on Stockwell Road stands as one of the oldest in the Barossa Valley. The fruit produced is of the highest quality and is a prized jewel of the Barossa. The Shiraz from these 100+ year old vines is dry grown, cropped at extremely low yields, handpicked and aged in new French oak to produce wines with unequal intensity of flavour. As our Centenarian Vines have truly withstood the test of time, this iconic Barossa Shiraz will cellar 10+ years to become one of the great wines of Australia.
Hand selected from our Barossa Valley vineyard and crafted by Ben Riggs, 1908 Vineyard is a limited release, full-bodied blend that is regarded as a Barossa benchmark.
After 12-18 months of barrel maturation the wine is bottled and experiences a further 6-12 months of cellaring before release.
Big, rich and structured this wine can be tasted at release or will continue to reward those with the patience to wait 5-15 years.
